What we do

Tackling Malaria Through
Community-Led Innovation

PS Kenya is a sub-recipient of AMREF Health Africa under the Global Fund (GFTAM GC7 2024–2027), driving malaria prevention and treatment in Busia, Bungoma, and Kericho counties. We strengthen community and health systems to expand access to timely diagnosis, treatment, and prevention, reducing the malaria burden where it hits hardest.

How It Works

Community Case Management of Malaria (CCMM)

CHPs use Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDTs) and Artemether-Lumefantrine to diagnose and treat uncomplicated malaria.

Supportive Supervision

185 Community Health Unit in Busia, 290 in Bungoma, and 35 in Kericho receive regular oversight on malaria case management and malaria in pregnancy services.

Prevention Through Schools

Awareness and behavior change interventions equip the next generation with knowledge to reduce malaria risk.

Health System Strengthening (HMIS)

Routine data audits and digital systems (eCHIS, KHIS2) ensure accurate malaria data for decision-making.

Our Goal by 2027/2028
